MMRV Vaccine
From 1 January 2026, all children will be offered a combined Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (MMRV) vaccine as part of their childhood immunisations.
MMRV vaccine protects children against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chickenpox). This vaccine will be given instead of the MMR vaccine.
From the 1st November 2026 -31st March 2028 there will be a single dose selective MMRV catch-up programme for older children who haven't yet had the chicken pox infection.
